We look when you can't
Eyes & Ears visits customer properties at least once a week, every week of the year. In-season & off-season as conditions permit. We look for water leaking from weather events, plumbing issues, or appliance issues. We check the “guest out” condition of the property, reporting to you the care guests gave to your investment & making sure any issues will be addressed. We check that every window, door & slider is locked and that lights & ceiling fans are off and the HVAC is set appropriately. If we arrive after housekeeping, we will report on the job they did and, if things are still a bit of a mess, will engage them on a return visit.
Pre / Post Storm Checks
At no additional charge, Eyes & Ears will do pre-, during (as conditions permit) and post-storm event checks and let you know immediately if we find something that needs quick attention. During Severe Weather Events, Scheduled Services may be postponed so that we can visit every E&E customer property to check on risks, issues & damages and get corrective work started.
Just Do it Policy
Under our Just Do It Policy, E&E will address issues as we can with the tools & parts on-hand to fix any issues we find at no charge. Loose railing pickets, popped GFI outlets, loose or fallen TP holders and towel bars…the list goes on!
Coordinate with Property Management Firms
Eyes & Ears is tightly coordinated with many of the Property Management firms on the Outer Banks & many of the independent housekeeping firms & pool/spa vendors. They are an extension of the Eyes & Ears information network. Scheduled Services are designed to keep you, the property owner, informed. Regardless of what other people or firms servicing your property report to you.

Sometimes issues with your property need more than just a quick fix. Plumbing issues; electrical issues; storm damage issues and the whole range of other bad stuff that can happen both in-season and out-season. The below services are offered at an affordable rate to Eyes & Ears Contract Customers.

Rapid Response to Guest issues
Rapid response to issues called in by guests, PMs or owners so Eyes & Ears can assess the situation, mitigate as possible, then document the issue to owners and others & coordinate a response.
Trusted Vendors
E&E has a network of Trusted Vendors that can address needs requiring licensed & bonded pros. Many of these vendors offer discounts to E&E customers. E&E will coordinate such work and ensure it is done properly.
Vendor Coordination
Vendor Coordination when work by one or more vendors are needed to address a property issue. Eyes & Ears will keep track of vendor work, report to you, and help coordinate work needed.

Pre-Listing Service
Eyes & Ears, LLC based out of Corolla, NC is pleased to offer Pre-Listing Inspection Services to current property owners in the Corolla area. These services include:
- A physical inspection – full detailed list.
- Diagnostics of any issues found – what’s causing the problem?
- Assistance in getting any issues identified corrected before a buyer’s pre-closing inspection.
Why Do This?
Many property owners live elsewhere and, other than a few weeks each year, don’t have an opportunity to assess the condition of their rented properties. Between Corolla’s weather & the “wear & tear” of the rental season, many risks to the property or guests could remain hidden until a buyer’s inspection.
With the availability of listed properties in Corolla, a buyer’s inspection could derail an offer if major items are found and the buyers just don’t want to deal with it. And, the pre-close inspection may reveal issues that will take time (given the availability of vendors) to diagnose and repair.
As a Non-Certified inspector (for a reason!), E&E can do things the buyer’s Inspector can’t or won’t. We will move things. We will probe. With your permission, we will go into locked spaces.
This Eyes & Ears service is designed to give sellers a chance to learn about, understand and correct any issues that might stall a close.
The Eyes & Ears Tools & Trusted Vendor Network
- Eyes & Ears uses advanced diagnostic tools, including a Forward-Looking InfraRed camera (FLIR) that can look behind walls, ceilings, & floors. This can identify potential water leaks, roof issues, and electrical issues.

First Alert Services
Let’s be honest. As an owner working with a Property Management firm, you’ve received bills for things you never knew about. Or received bills – with no detail – saying work was done at your place at some point in the past. Then you start the process of trying to understand what happened and what was done, by whom, to correct the issue.
Eyes & Ears offers a First Alert Service under which, with your direction to the PM, any issues reported by housekeeping, inspectors or guests first get looked at by Eyes & Ears to understand the issue. We will assess, diagnose, and engage vendors at your direction as needed to fix the issue if E&E cannot do it.
